We took this photo a couple of weeks ago on a freezing cold day in Catherine Street, Frome and with such a romantic setting I had to wait and blog this one on Valentine's day!
On the night of the 14th February every year Frome has a Valentine Lamp lighting ceremony. The lamp is believed to be the only working gas lamp in Somerset. The lamp is set into a heart-shaped cobbled surround and is hand-painted with hearts and flowers and attached is a George V posting box. It is dedicated to St. Valentine, patron and protector of all who find love.
The site received dedication and a blessing on the 14th February 1993 with a lamp lighting ceremony on Valentine Day.
Happy Valentine's Day!

High Wasted Cigarette Trousers - Asos
Spotty White Shirt - Urban Outfitters
Boucle Jacket - New Look
Black Pointed Heels - Linea at House of Fraser
Bag - Mulberry
Red Lipstick - 'Russian Red' by MAC
Red Nail Varnish - Madrid by Mavala

I love cigarette trousers at the moment and they are a must for S/S 2013 in all different colours and patterns. I really wanted to get a smart pair of black high wasted ones and I found these at Asos and love them, they look great with a pair of pointy heels. Topshop are also doing a wide range of cigarette trousers and I have my eye on a couple of colourful pairs so watch this space! I also love this spotty Urban Outfitters shirt, I cant stop wearing it; looks great with high wasted blue jeans or a skater skirt too.

Minnies Boutique On Tour!

I attended the exciting preview event on Friday night for the Minnies Boutique pop up shop tour at Cabot Circus in Bristol. For one weekend only Minnies came to Cabot Circus to launch their tour. The owners of Minnies are none other than Towie’s Sam and Billie Faiers and the shop is based in Brentford, Essex. It was so lovely to meet the sisters and they were very excited about the tour and opening the shop to the public in Bristol over the weekend. It was great to get a photo with the girls too.

It is an exciting range at Minnies Boutique with some stunning styles and colours. I like the way they have made their clothes affordable at high street prices. Brands include ‘Mink Pink’, ‘little Mistress’, ‘Hunt No More’, ‘Sugarhill Boutique’ and the newest brand to join ‘Paint it Red‘ which has some really cool dresses in summer brights. Minnies also have their own label called ‘Minnies Loves‘. I personally loved the ‘Mink Pink’, ‘Sweet Shop’ spotty shirt and an eye catching red leopard print wallet, there was also some really cute party dresses. The girls looked great wearing black treggings along with jumpers sold at Minnies. Sam wore pink stiletto pointed courts and Billie wore black peep toe platform stilettos, both with their hair worn up in top knots and stunning make-up.

Sam and Billie spoke to everyone on the night and it was such a great atmosphere, with champagne, cupcakes and sweets it was such a fun girly night out. Thanks so much for the Fake Bake bronzer and lip gloss goody bag gifts which will definitly be used for our next girly night out. I really enjoyed our night at Minnies and would like to thank the girls, Billie and Sam and everyone else involved in organising the pop up shop for such a great time. The shop looked fabulous! We will be sad to see Minnies leave Bristol.
Come back soon!

Last Friday amidst the snow, I got to try on the Duo SS13 collection in Bath that had only just arrived in the shop. The collection is so exciting, with so many amazing flats to choose from. Duo are most famous for their boots but the SS13 collection includes a wide variety of flat shoe styles and being a little addicted to loafers at the moment I was concentrating on their flats collection and wow what a choice! After trying on pretty much every shoe in the collection indecisiveness set in, they were all so lovely. Thank you Nikki for being so patient with me and I was very lucky to pretty much have the whole shop to myself because of the snow. But I was smitten with the very first pair I tried on and even though they weren’t the loafers I just had to choose them as my favourites. The Dayton tan suede, lace up, heeled brogue. They fit perfectly and will look so good with skinny jeans or a little skirt and tights, I can’t wait to style them. I love the way Duo has a narrow or a wider fit to their shoes so you can choose just like you do with your calf size with their boots, you feel like they are tailor made just for you. I am also loving the patent black or brown leather loafers called Seine and the leopard print flats called Catori. I don’t just think Duo and boots now, I would go there for any high fashion, shoe must have and for amazing quality. I would recommend anyone to get a pair from their new collection.
You must go and check them out!

Many thanks to Laura at Octane Uk and Duo.

'The Goldies'

Stayed up late last night in my pj's to catch who was wearing what on the red carpet!
Just wanted to share my favourite dresses with you. Love these hairstyles too, especially Zoey Deschanel's hair and makeup!

Here is my top 8  from the Golden Globes 2013:

1. Kate Hudson in Alexander McQueen
2. Amanda Seyfried in Givenchy
3. Taylor Swift in Donna Karen
4. Zoey Deschanel in Prada
5. Nicole Richie in Naeem Khan
6. Michelle Williams in Jason Wu
7. Amy Adams in Marchesa
8. Charlize Theron in Christian Dior

If I had the luxury of choosing which one I would wear it would have to be Kate Hudson’s Alexander McQueen dress. It wins hands down. It’s sleek, elegant and I just love the gold neck detail. Stunning!
Which one would you wear?

Dr. Martens - The Roni Boot!

Who said Dr. Martens can’t be girly? Well here are my Roni Boots in Oxblood from their Zita collection at Dr. Martens and I am addicted. So feminine but also so Dr. Martens! They are such a perfect pair of boots and even with that heel (which I love) they are so comfortable! That will be the Air Wair with Bouncing Soles Dr. Martens are traditionally famous for I do believe. I can’t stop wearing them and will never be without a pair. They also do them in black which I may eventually have to get. I just love the oxblood colour as it represents Dr. Martens and contrasts nicely with the sole. I love these boots and can’t recommend them enough. They can be worn dressed up or dressed down. I wear mine with skinny jeans, leggings and with tights and skirt. Infact you will always see me wearing them at the moment!
