The County Magazine Bath - May Edition

Here is my May feature in The County Magazine and it is now on the shelf! I really enjoyed working with this palette of colours; I especially loved styling with chunky and sparkly accessories, that is the bonus when you are working with pale tones. I love the bold chunky collar necklaces around at the moment and I am always a sucker for anything that glitters and shines!

Kate Middleton wears Sebago!

Get the hottest footwear this Summer and you too will be dressed like a Duchess! Boat shoes are the shoe must have this summer and I am loving the 'Bala' shoe by Sebago! The Bala shoes have a much more feminine shape and don't look as clumpy as a normal deck shoe (especially on my little legs). They are slip resistant and come in a wide range of colour combinations which makes it impossible to choose between. You will want one of each!
Kate Middleton loves the Bala and was snapped wearing the taupe and white colour combination on an official Royal Tour in Canada. She went for a classic look wearing them with her skinny jeans and a fitted shirt. Sebagos aren't just for boating, they are also a comfortable, versatile city shoe. They look great with skinny jeans, trousers or even with a pretty little summer dress; Perfect for this Summers nautical trend.

Did You Know:
Sebago was founded in New England and have been making quality handsewn boat shoes since 1946!

They are definitly my summer must have! So go and check them out if you haven't already and let me know your favourite colour. Sebago has two stores in the UK, one on London Regent Street and one in Bath on Union Street.

The Bath in Fashion Designer Show!

Happy Monday Everybody!  I am still buzzing from the weekend!
My fashion filled weekend started on Friday afternoon at the Bath in Fashion Designer Show sponsored by Mallory. It took place in none other than the glamorous Assembly Rooms where the fashionable Georgian society frequented for dinners and balls. Today it is the perfect setting to carry on this fashionable tradition and bring it back to life with an epic fashion production. The Assembly Rooms is also home to the fabulous Fashion Museum which is a must see for everybody!
It was fantastic to get to the event before the doors opened to witness last minute preps and feel the excitement in the room. I was tempted to climb a ladder and help with the lighting myself.
I would like to say a big thank you to Nicky from Bath in Fashion for giving me a seat right at the front, facing the end of the catwalk for photos. What a spot!
I also had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Liz Cox who was sitting next to me. She was showcasing her bags which I couldn't wait to see! Along with the bags designed for the celebrity 'It' Bag Auction.
British bag makers and celebrities designed bags for a charity auction (Forever Friends Appeal) as part of Bath in Fashion. Celebrities including Winter Olympic gold medalist Amy Williams, milliner Stephen Jones, interiors expert Nina Campbell, supermodel Jade Parfitt and fashion writer Iain R Webb.

Last minute lighting preparations before the doors opened.

My favourite design at the show was a Sisi & May 'Blank' Raumoa one shoulder long grey print dress with a silver snake clutch by Wilbur & Gussie. I loved the Liz Cox set, her bags looked amazing in all different colours and styles. It was also great to see black dress designs from Bath Spa students. Other designs that stood out for me were the Hermione de Paula pretty, printed dresses. Ette London silk scarf tops in all different patterns. Grace and Mabel fish print dress by Hoss Intropia and girly vintage style pieces from Prey. The jumpsuit by Jean Pierre Braganza finished the show off beautifully for me. I am obsessed with jumpsuits at the moment!
I hope you enjoy the show in pictures below, I have chosen a photo from each of the designer/retailer collections:
