The County Magazine - Bath

Well here it is, my first month in The County Mag! Very excited the magazine is now on the shelf!
With this page I wanted to try and escape the winter weather blues and brighten up the wardrobe. I also wanted to style my favourite item of the month, the cigarette trousers. Let me know what you think.

Harvey Nichols Bristol Fashion Show S/S13

I was kindly invited to the Harvey Nichols Bristol Spring/Summer 2013 fashion show last Tuesday set in the fantastic location of The Bristol Museum and Art Gallery. I was so excited to be seeing the Harvey Nichols collection, featuring highlights from international designers. I was especially excited to be seeing designs by Helmut Lang, Diane Von Furstenberg and Alexander McQueen.
The show came in six categories, Whites, Colour Pop, Metallics, Monochrome, Mixed Prints and Dresses. I especially loved the bright block colours which included a stunning green Richard Nicoll skirt and a bright pink Diane Von Furstenberg blazer. My favourites in the Metallic collection was a metallic blue patterned blazer by Helmut Lang and bronze metallic bomber with Raoul leather green shorts. I loved the monochrome stripey MSGM skirt with the black and white Helmut Lang jacket and the mixed print skirt and shirt combination by Erdem. The Victoria Beckham black dress was my favourite but loved the sleeves of the MSGM dress.
Mix your prints and block colours this spring/summer; shorten those coat sleeves and hang on to your blazers. The fabric colours are bright and exciting; Skirts were above the knee and trousers were skinny. Bright coloured and metallic accessories were prominent and the pointed courts are taking over from the round toe we have been used to. Hair is off the face and plaited as seen at London Fashion week and statement bright red lips.

One of the most stylish events on the Bristol fashion calendar will be held tomorrow night starting with a drinks reception at 7:30pm and more than 400 guests are expected to attend.
“Bristol’s Museum & Art Gallery has gained an enviable reputation for its striking collections, and so it seems fitting that it is where we will showcase some of fashion’s most striking collections,” said Louise Masson, acting General Manager at Harvey Nichols Bristol.
I can't wait for the event after missing out on London Fashion week, I am especially excited to see the Isabel Marant set. I have finally decided on my outfit and the ol' camera battery is on charge!
Hope to see you there!
