The Fab Megan (Event Organiser) and Sarah (Ship-Shape and Bristol Fashion) |
Had a perfect morning at The
Cabot Circus
S/S 2012 Fashion shows on Saturday. What a way to spend your Saturday
morning. I was in great company too, It was lovely to meet
Megan Dacey, the event organiser for the show who couldn’t do more for you and I sat next to the lovely Sarah from
Ship-Shape and Bristol Fashion
who was also snapping away (Pictured Above, Left to Right Megan and
Sarah). I also had the pleasure of joining the Fab Megan and Sarah in
the live bloggers lounge after the first show.
Well lets get down to the clothes – I am still loving the pastel colours out there at the moment and the
New Look
set was all about mouth watering pastels, modelling an eye catching
pallet with silver balloons. I have to say the choreography in all the
shows were fantastic and some great tracks were being played.
Oasis
have some amazing summery floral dresses in store at the moment,
picture drinking tea in an English country garden, I think I want every
dress in the Oasis set. Stepping away from all the bright colours, white
is big for the s/s season.
Mango,
Harvey Nichols and
Reiss
showed some beautiful bright white pieces. I especially fell in love
with the Reiss textured white jumper and cotton white skirt combo, one
of my favourite outfits of the shows. I also loved the skinny bright
white jeans by Mango with a little white cami top. This show has
convinced me I need more white in my wardrobe! It looks beautiful but
unfortunately when I am wearing it, it doesn’t stay bright white for
long so I often shy away from buying it. Shorts are still big this year,
as well as Mango,
Warehouse also showed some metallic shorts, great for a night out! I love my shorts!
Warehouse and
LK Bennett
were all about stand out in the crowd block colours of Pinks and Blues!
I am loving bright blue dresses at the moment and may just have to be
added to my wish list. I have to say the stylist
JP did
an amazing job styling the show, it certainly made me want to just hit
the shops! I especially loved the choreography of the
River Island
set, As the models wore bold clashing prints, they were complimented
with Marigold gloves, holding colourful washing baskets. These big bold
prints are everywhere at the moment and the rule is if the prints don’t
match or you don’t think they go together then you have got the look
right there.
Jane Norman were
all about Party dresses with statement shoes, again was taken with the
blue dresses and loved those red platform wedges, Wowawea!
Yellow is also splashing about the stores
right now, try tight yellow jeans from Harvey Nicks or the floral yellow
dress from Oasis. The
Republic
set was vibrant and energetic showing their casual sportswear, I was a
bit disappointed because I love Republic dresses (Have a couple of
amazing Maxis) and would have loved to see them shown instead but I have
to say their casual wear is great and I am definitely after their
colourful shorts, in every colour I may add!
My wish list : Bright Blue
Dress from LK Bennett or Jane Norman, Floral dress from Oasis, Republic
bright shorts for the summer, checking out Mango and Reiss for all
things white. Some killer platform wedges!
Well I guess that is it from me, but before I
go I just want to thank Cabot Circus for having me and putting on an
amazing production. Thanks so much to Megan and I hope to see you next
year!
Happy Shopping!
